O God who stops obstacles, by offering various foods, rice puddings, and dumplings with devotion, let the land of Bharata always win, whether in war or in alliance.

He manifested in the well at Kanipakam to protect this land of Vedas. Parvati’s son desired to taste the dumplings and foods. He stood as the pillar for all knowledge and guiding principles. The king who removes obstacles spoke the essence of the world’s origins.

O Ganadhipa, extend your trunk and powerfully drain the essence of demonic thoughts that enter our minds, which gives rise to various desires. Please stand by us in this life, which is filled with learning the subtle truths of the Vedas, and show us the way to overcome the envy and anger that fill us.

I salute Vishwaksena, the valiant one who walks the river of universal thought, who is served by souls residing in Sri Vaikuntha and who never transgress his commands. He is the king who crushes all obstacles in the abode of dharma where every seeker of truth shines.

He is a commander, dedicated to the service of Vishnu, a devotee of righteous and well-spoken words, and a master of powerful, daily speech. He protects the path of dharma with the luster of a dreadful sword, and is the one who serves the Vishnu devotees and the people in need with the magnificent cleverness of a thief.
